Life can be hard sometimes, you know? Maybe having a glass of water out of a colorful glass made with love & so much care makes you smile. Maybe it inspires you to drink another glass of water, which then makes your headache go away. That’s just a hypothetical.
Ultimately, I love making things. I love color, material, shape, craft, texture, light, and it’s a privilege to share the things I make with the world. I started hosting workshops because I found that many other people are curious about working with glass, but don’t know where to begin.
Emily Bender Morrison (Born Jacksonville FL. She/her) graduated magna cum laude from the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY with a degree in fine arts: painting. She first explored glass in undergrad and continued to study the medium at Northlands Creative Glass in Lybster, Scotland. She worked for 8 years as a glass fabricator, working closely with designers and artists to execute their visions in glass. Such work has been exhibited internationally and at institutions such as The Storm King Art Center.
